An advertisement for Kelson’s ‘The Salmon Fly’ tipped in at page 14. ‘Tips’ includes pages of the beautiful contemporary advertisements by which Kelson financed his printing. A hallmark of late 19th century salmon fishing, with chapters on the latest tackle and flies, rod selection, the fly to use, methods of casting, wading and knots, and general riverside tips. Kelson finishes the book with a few pages of review of his book The Salmon Fly. Maroon cloth boards with gilt angler and lettering and black framing. Shelf wear, with light rubbing and bumping.
