The Atlantic Salmon – Lee Wulff – 1983. The first printing of this edition from Nick Lyons Books and Winchester Press. In original dust jacket. Signed by Wulff and former president Jimmy Carter to FFEP. Carter was a an avid and skilled fly fisherman, frequenting Spruce Creek in central Pennsylvania, in particular. He even hosted a fly fishing summit at Camp David and penned articles for Fly Fisherman Magazine. This book a limited edition of 150 (no. 8) that were signed by Carter, according to the info on the bookplate. It was once part of the Catskill Fly Fishing Club library. Loaded with B&W photographic images, diagrams, and drawings. Wulff, a master salmon angler, provides expert advice on tackle, casting, presentation of both wet and dry flies, fly selection, wading, where fish lie and how to make them strike and how best to land salmon. Black paper-covered boards with black cloth wrap at spine and gilt lettering. DJ with some edge tears, scuffs, and price clipped. Book very clean internally. Near fine condition, with DJ good only.
