Volume 1 of ‘writings’, containing upland shooting and bird hunting stories from George Bird Evans, Frank Forester, Burton Spiller, and many more. Volume 2 of ‘images’, with sporting art from Lynn Bogue Hunt, AL Ripley, Ogden Pleissner, Milton Weiler, and others. Laid in is a letter from the publishers to the Weiler family, thanking them for their contribution to volume 2. This set from the private library of the Weiler family. Milton C. Weiler Sr. was one of the premier sporting artists of his time, known for his work with the Derrydale Press and many other sporting publishers. He was also an avid outdoorsman, with deep roots to the Anglers’ Club of New York and the DeBruce Fly Fishing Club in the Catskills. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering, illustrations, and accents.
