The Arctic Prairies – Ernest Thompson Seton – 1910. An excellent first edition from Charles Scribner’s Sons. The book describes his six-month canoe journey into the Canadian Northwest and Arctic plains on the Peace and Mackenzie rivers, areas previously largely unexplored. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering and embossed antlers. Laid in is a handwritten letter from Seton, signed at the bottom and with a remarque. Letter is in the original envelope. A quite rare find. Some signs of foxing externally at upper page edge. Very light rubbing at edges. Fine overall. The book is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
