Loaded with illustrations in black and white. Laid in are an errata sheet, a sheet of prices realized, and various newspapers clippings about Bates. A softcover in near fine condition. The second, titled ‘Selections from the Salmon Fly Collection of Joseph D. Bates, Jr.’, was published by Pamela Bates Richards. It gives a history of Bates and details on various flies, tyers, and other info, presumably for a sale. A soft cover with a few cover marks but still likely near fine. A rare and wonderful set.
