Laid in is a publisher’s card from Charles Scribner’s Sons noting that this book was specifically distributed for editorial review use. Published in New York. Black and white illustrations, in Rhead’s signature style, as well as 11 plates, with 5 in color. DJ with a few small chips at top of spine and browning, but VG+ to NF. Blueish green cover with a few small marks, mostly from dust. Internally, partial foxing to EPs, else clean. External foxing at page edges. A very good copy. The book is exactly as pictured.
