With embossed seal of the private library of G. Christian Lantzsch. Lantzsch, in addition to his many business accolades, was a long-time board member of Trout Unlimited in the Pittsburgh area and an avid fly fisher. This set is generally considered the definitive work on trout, with chapters on the evolution of fly fishing; American species of trout and grayling; trout physiology, habitat, and behavior; casting; wading, angling skills; rods, reels, line, etc.; rod building; and more. Profusely illustrated with black and white drawings as well as color plates of fish and flies. In original slip case. Green case wrapped in paper, now faded in parts, with mounted color illustration present. Books with brown cloth boards and gilt lettering. Very minor wear, with slight fading at spine and stretching of cloth at upper spine end from incorrect removal from box. Still, squarely near fine condition in good case.
