Signed by the author on the limitation page, and also possibly on prelim page below inscription (signed only ‘Henry’). Although it pre-dates the use of the Derrydale imprint, this book is considered the first book of the Press, as it was designed by Eugene Connett. Printed on Fabriano hand-made paper. Encompasses a discussion of the issues surrounding the conservation and preservation of trout waters in America, largely scientific in nature. Illustrated in B&W with five plates: 3 maps and 2 drawings. Paper-covered boards with paper labels to spine and front cover. Cover with general wear, bumping, and rubbing. One notable indentation at lower edge of front cover. Some foxing to cloth wrap at spine. Fading at edges at spine. Internally, an occasional mark. Front hinges feels to have been overopened.
