The Anglers’ Club Story 1906-1956. Privately printed for the Anglers’ Club of New York in 1956. A limited edition of 750 copies. With contributions from various club members, numerous photos, a club history, notable catches, and much more. From the private library of the Weiler Family. Milton C. Weiler Sr. was one of the premier sporting artists of his time, known for his work with the Derrydale Press and many other sporting publishers. He was also an avid outdoorsman, with deep roots to the Anglers’ Club of New York and the DeBruce Fly Fishing Club in the Catskills. Accompanying is ‘The Anglers’ Club of New York 1906-1981′ program for ‘A dinner in celebration of our club’s 75th anniversary’, dated November 18, 1981. Stapled with dark brown cord & tassel. Soft cover with illustration by Harold Pickering. Includes information about the dinner, as well as a salmon fly ‘the Olin Black and Gold’ tied by John M. Olin and mounted on a piece of cork. Olin was honored at the dinner. ACNY logo on back cover. Program in fine condition. Book in original dark brown slip case, with some edge wear and a few marks–VG.
