Spade and Sport in Paganland – Lt.-Col. W.T. Shorthose – 1934. A rare first edition in an extremely rare original dust jacket. The author hunted elephant and buffalo in the Ningi Forest, Nigeria, in the 1920s, followed by additional trips for various species. He felt sportsmen were missing a good hunting area in West Africa. DJ soiled, chipped, and worn, but still largely whole. Front cover with slight warp, appearing to be from an old water stain, thankfully limited to cover. Some fading to cover and light edge wear and bumping. Internally, some very light and intermittent foxing. Overall, very good condition in G- DJ. The book is exactly as pictured.
