Out of stock
Random Casts – Theodore Gordon Flyfishers – 1974, no. 7. A surprisingly scarce publication from the Theodore Gordon Flyfishers Club–A not-for-profit organization founded on American fly-fishing traditions promoting stream and river protection and self-sustainable salmonid populations. Gordon was among the first to popularize and write about fly fishing in the United States, particularly in New York and New England. This volume features articles on Joe Brooks, the sialis fly, fishing literature, and more. Featuring material from Lefty Kreh, Arnold Gingrich, Nick Lyons, Robert Morse, Thomas McGuane, Ed Zern, and others. Laid in is a handwritten letter from contributor Robert ‘Bob’ Morse to Kenneth Andersen, dated 1998. Also laid in is a copy of an article Morse wrote about Theodore Gordon’s flies and an article Morse wrote for Yankee Fly Tyers with directions on tying the sialis fly. B&W illustrations throughout. Illustrated soft cover with gloss finish. Some staining to cover and light dampstaining adjacent, but generally clean. VG condition. The book is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
