Pioneering at Rowan-Wood – Henry Abbott – 1927. Signed by the author. Bearing the sporting bookplate of Roy D. Chapin, Jr. Chapin was long-time chairman and chief executive at American Motor Company. He was also an avid sportsman and conservationist involved with the Atlantic Salmon Federation, Ducks Unlimited, the Ruffed Grouse Society and Trout Unlimited, as well as serving as president of the Fontinalis Club in Michigan (some backstory here from The American Fly Fisher).

This privately printed gem is part of the Birch Bark series from the author–1 of 19 titles centered around hunting, fishing, and outdoor endeavors in the Adirondacks of New York. These were Christmas gift books Abbott for limited distribution to family and friends. With tipped in B&W plates. Paper HC boards with a distinct birch bark printed pattern. Minor shelf wear. Some glue marks to front EP from bookplate. Other minor blems, but overall, VG condition. A nice copy of this rare title. The item is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
