Bound in is a letter from the publisher, Country Life, with a note about the deluxe edition, with a general ‘Publisher’ signature on the letter and another on the blank page behind that is difficult to discern but may be McTaggart’s initials. Humorous anecdotes about horses and horse training. Profusely illustrated. Full vellum with title on spine and the front board with quill and horse shoe ink pot, gilt ruling and gilt key`s in each corner. Orange & gold silk endpaper. The pages are of handmade paper by A King of Alton Mill, all rough cut or yapped edges. Some browning to covers. Light foxing limited to first and last few pages.
