Founding Documents and Ledger of the B.F. Gladding Fishing Line Co. 1916-1938. An extremely rare ledger from the B.F. Gladding Fishing Line Company, the pride of the Ostelic Valley, New York. The ledger contains numerous documents detailing the formation of the company, by-laws, articles of incorporation, members, minutes, transactions, and much more. Loaded with handwritten documents, signatures, and other misc. notes. Detailing the restructuring of the company following the release of the King Pin braided silk line in 1916. The B.F. Gladding Company was established in Pharsalia, New York, in 1816, by rope maker John Gladding. They later moved operations to Otselic, New York. The company made various cordages, ropes, chalk lines, and of course fishing lines. A one-of-a-kind item. Spine of ledger book gone, with tape holding the book together, likely due to years of use. However, cover with 1/4 red leather over brown cloth boards with gilt lettering and label. Internally, very good condition. The item is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
