Laid is in a brochure for Grant’s Kennebago Camps, renowned hunting and fishing destinations. Signed by the author on the title page. Stevens was a self-taught fly tyer from Upper Dam, Maine. She created some of the most beautiful and enduring streamer patterns ever designed, including the infamous gray ghost. Her trout and salmon flies can be found in nearly any fly  box to this day, particularly of those who frequent the Rangeley Lakes region of ME. This book is a biography, of sorts, of Stevens, rich in anecdotal lore, and with information from private archives and collections, including photos and documents. Map EPs.
