Laid in are also a review slip signed by the publisher and two letters from Bates to White. Both letters are typed on Bates’s letterhead and signed in pen at the end. The book has become a classic work for salmon anglers and is loaded with information about where, how, and when to catch fish, including sections on rods, reels, flies, methods, fly patterns and tying, tips and tricks, rivers, and more. Numerous B&W illustrations and photographs. In original dust jacket with salmon and fly rod. Blue HC cloth boards. Both DJ and boards with some edge wear. DJ with fading at spine, in VG condition.
