A River Never Sleeps – Roderick Haig-Brown – 1946. A first edition published by William Morrow and Co., this a complimentary copy, with publisher’s card laid in and signed by exec. Tom Mahony. Inscribed from the author to Thomas Sadler, who was a fishing acquaintance. Currently, the only signed copy on the market. Laid in is a photo of Haig-Brown with fly rod in hand. Spanning the author’s fishing life from his childhood on English chalkstreams to the steelhead rivers of British Columbia. Considered a classic of angling literature and a wonderful read. Original whitish cloth boards with blue fish illustration. Cover with light marks and edge wear, with bump at lower rear edge, in particular. Internally, light foxing to EPs, and an occasional spot throughout. Near fine condition. The book is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
