Written in the Year MDCC LXXXVI – Elizabeth Lady Craven – 1789. Published by G.G. J. and J. Robinson, London. After separation from her husband, Craven began traveling the world, embarking on various adventures. The letters published in this book details those adventures. Full leather, with large fold-out map and 6 plates. Gilt lettering at spine on red label, with additional gilt accents. Believed original binding, with nicely done repairs near spine, to EPs, and occasionally throughout text (e.g., to fix minor rips). Some intermittent foxing and browning, including at EPs. Paper cracked at both hinges. Considering modifications, good to very good condition. Fairly rare, particularly in the United States. The book is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
