A History of Cornell – Morris Bishop – 1962. A deluxe first edition. Original red Morocco. Signed by Bishop. Engraved leaf inserted before half-title with a printed presentation to Charles H. Shuff “in recognition of his great service to his university as she enters her second century.” Signed by the chairman of the board of trustrees and and the national chairman of the Cornell Centennial Campaign (lined for Presidential signature blank). A wonderful work detailing this history of this prestiguous Ivy League university in Ithaca, New York. In original red cloth slipcase. Beautiful red leather with gilt accents and lettering. All page edges gilt. Marbled EPs. Slip case with some wear and repairs from cracking along edges. Spine showing some discoloration, and front hinge beginning to crack externally at ends, cosmetic only. A few minor flaws in leather, including a couple bumps. Internally, nearly perfect. Book likely fine overall. The book is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
