A Half Century With The Fly Casters 1946-1996. Published by The Fly Casters in 1996. A limited edition of 250 copies, this number 3, presented to the Weiler family. This from the private library of the Weiler family. Milton C. Weiler Sr. was one of the premier sporting artists of his time, known for his work with the Derrydale Press and many other sporting publishers. He was also an avid outdoorsman, with deep roots to the Anglers’ Club of New York and the DeBruce Fly Fishing Club in the Catskills. Milton Weiler Jr. was a long-time member of The Fly Casters, serving as president (among other titles) for many years. Weiler Sr.’s work is featured throughout the book in both color and B&W, including the frontis art. Signed at the start of his chapter by Ernest Schwiebert. A history of the illustrious fishing club from Boston, Massachusetts. In green slip case. Linen boards with gilt fly angler and lettering on front/spine. Fine book in fine case.
