About Us

Drew and Mary May Haerer got started in the book business in 2018. Under the auspices of a family member who was a long-time bookman and member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America, as well as many of his friends and colleagues, they continued to grow their footprint as booksellers and launched Haerer Rare and Wonderful Books in 2023. Their personal interests reflect many of their favorite genres, including angling, fly fishing, hunting, shooting, travel, and New England history. Although the Haerers specialize in sporting titles, their inventory includes something for everyone. They live in western Massachusetts with their three children and are devout stewards of the land, cultivating a burgeoning farm, gardens, and an orchard in their spare time.
