With sections on fishing, hunting, Native Americans, Saint Louis, the Mississippi River, the Illinois River, the Nauvoo Prairie, Du Chien, alpine exploration, Red Wing Village Falls of St. Anthony, Spirit Lake, Winnipeg, Lake Superior, the Catskill Mountains of New York, the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Champlain, the Green and White Mountains in Vermont and New Hampshire, Montreal, Quebec, the St. Lawrence River, Eskimos, Labrador, Aroostook, the Penobscot River, Moosehead Lake, the Kennebec River, the Allegheny Mountains, and more. Red cloth boards with embossed accents, gilt lettering, and a gilt moose on front and fish at spine. Some fading/soiling of red. It looks like someone might have attempted to apply leather cleaner to the cloth boards, so the whitish soiling may actually be removable with the proper cleaner. Mild shelf wear. Rubbing generally mild but most notable at certain corners and spine ends. Yellow EPs with a few marks. Intermittent and generally light spotting internally, mixed with some foxing and misc. flecks of brown. Rear FEP with small chip in vol. 2. VG- condition. The book is exactly as pictured.
